Unity in Diversity
This year’s exhibition, held under the theme “Unity in Diversity,” celebrates the KAASC’s long-standing dedication to fostering artistic dialogue and cross-cultural connection. Seventy association artists will present a dynamic range of works-including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and mixed media-demonstrating the diversity of creative expression within the Korean American artistic community.
Founded in 1964, the Korean Artists Association of Southern California has played a vital role in promoting cultural exchange and harmony between Korea and other ethnic communities. Through initiatives such as juried student exhibitions and Korean-American collaborative shows, the association has actively encouraged the next generation of artists. Over the years, the inclusion of younger artists has brought renewed energy and innovation to the group, blending fresh perspectives with traditional forms.
This exhibition provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the Association’s 60 years of artistic activity while reaffirming the value of empathy and communication within the community. It also offered a significant moment to look back on the artistic achievements and development the Association has accomplished over the years. Bringing together artists of diverse generations and backgrounds, the exhibition served as an important platform to highlight the artistic depth and potential of the Korean immigrant community.
The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will continue to collaborate with the Association to promote the beauty of Korean culture and the identity of diaspora art within American society. Through exhibitions, workshops, collaborative projects, and a variety of cultural and artistic programs, the Center remains committed to expanding opportunities for cultural exchange and artistic engagement in the future.

Special Charity Exhibition to Support Victims of the Los Angeles Wildfires
The Southern California Korean Artists Association will host a special charity exhibition to support victims affected by the recent large-scale wildfires in Los Angeles.
According to the association, the exhibition has been organized to provide hope and assistance to community members who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the devastating fires. Member artists of the association have donated their works for the event, and all proceeds from artwork sales will be donated to support wildfire relief efforts.
“Through this special exhibition, we hope to extend encouragement and meaningful support to our neighbors who are facing hardship after the fires,” the association stated.
The event aims to go beyond a simple art exhibition. It will serve as a meaningful opportunity to practice compassion and generosity through art. Visitors will have the chance to view high-quality works created by the association’s artists and purchase them at accessible prices, while also contributing to relief efforts for those in need.
The association encourages the local Korean community to show their support and participate in this charitable event, sharing in the spirit of giving and solidarity.
